Trevor & Landon watching Elmo together. I cut them up an apple and Trevor didn't want to share. I told him to offer some to Landon and he started hand feeding Landon.
Trevor wanted a snack, so he opened the pantry, got out some chips, brought them into the living room and helped himself! Then mommy made him pick them up. He tried, but he's much better at making the mess than at cleaning!
Trevor has started climbing everything. Lately, everytime I turn around, he's climbed up into this chair. I was putting laundry away today and came back into the living room to find Trevor sitting there like everything was normal. What scares me is when he decides to get down & I'm not in the room...
Trevor & Landon love to play together and are interested in the same toys. They share so well. Oh, and that's Landon's mom Kari holding on to Trevor. She's wonderful.
We had Trevor's birthday party Saturday. He had several little boys to play with, as well as lots of family. He had so much fun. It was funny watching him while we were singing. He looked so confused to see that many people who had come to play with him, and then they were all surrounding him and singing. Then I gave him a cupcake, hoping he would dive right in. After much encouragement, he finally put a few fingers in the frosting, and that was it. He wouldn't even taste it. He eats dirt from the floor and any paper he can find, but I couldn't get him to try his own birthday cake! Oh well, at least there wasn't much to clean up! Trevor wants to thank everyone for coming to celebrate and for all the thoughtful gifts. It was a wonderful day!
His party isn't for another week, but on his birthday, we had to make it special, so the crown prince went to lunch with his mom, aunts Christi & Casi, and grandma Jeanne at Lola's. Trevor has been to Lola's many times. He loves lunch dates there. He wore his party hat the whole time and got a free piece of cake, at which he made a face and wouldn't eat. I can't believe a year has gone by already. He's not a zero baby anymore!
Trevor loves music. Today, I caught him playing with the CD player-taking a CD out and putting one in! Then, he actually pushed play and started directing a choir. I put him in his lion chair and he sat there for a while listening to the classical music that he had put in!
Yes, with only one sock. Who knows what happened to the other :)
We went over the weekend to visit Uncle Jacob and Aunt Brecca and their beautiful new home. They had a new puppy that Trevor really enjoyed playing with. It was hard to keep him out of the dog food.
Wife, mother of 2 beautiful boys, in love with Jesus! Just like my running, I try to live on purpose, and that includes making conscious choices of where I spend my time, who I am with, making no excuses, what conversations I have, to keep going even when I'm exhausted, to get back up after I fall, to always aim for my personal best, to push myself, to prove to myself that I'm determined and dedicated, and most importantly, to let God do the leading because I am weak and He is strong. Soooo much more to come on my life lessons from running, but in the mean time, what do you do to strengthen your character, to push yourself? Where do you go to spend time alone with God? What do you do on a regular basis to stay inspired? You certainly don't need to choose running like I did, but what are you choosing?
